Eligibility Criteria & Age Limit
1. Age Limit (As on 01.07.2026)
- Technician Grade-I Signal: 18 to 33 years.
- Technician Grade-III: 18 to 30 years.
- Age relaxation is applicable as per Govt. rules: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (NCL), and 10+ years for PwBD candidates. Relaxation is also provided for Ex-Servicemen and Course Completed Act Apprentices (CCAA) as detailed in the CEN.
2. Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess the requisite educational qualifications on or before the closing date (29.07.2026). Those awaiting final results are NOT eligible.
- For Technician Grade-I Signal: Bachelor of Science In Physics / Electronics / Computer Science / Information Technology/ Instrumentation OR B.Sc. in a combination of any sub-stream of basic streams OR Three years Diploma in Engineering in the above basic streams OR Degree in Engineering in the above basic streams.
- For Technician Grade-III (Various Posts): Matriculation / SSLC plus ITI from recognized institutions of NCVT/SCVT in the relevant trade OR Matriculation / SSLC plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship (CCAA) in the relevant trade. (Note: For Tech Gr III S&T, 10+2 with Physics and Maths is also eligible).
3. Medical Standards
Candidates must pass the requisite medical fitness test(s) (A-3, B-1, B-2, C-1) as prescribed for the specific post. Note: Candidates who have undergone LASIK surgery or any other surgical procedure to correct refractory error are not eligible for posts that require Medical Standards A3.
