Educational Qualification & Experience

  • Civilian Catering Instructor (CCI): Matriculation + Diploma/Certificate in catering. (1 year instructor experience desirable).
  • Cook: Matriculation. Knowledge of Indian Cooking. (1 year experience desirable).
  • MTS (Chowkidar) / Cleaner / Tradesman Mate (Labour): Matriculation. Should be proficient in trade work.
  • Civil Motor Driver (CMD): Matriculation + Valid driving licence for heavy & light motor vehicles + 2 years driving experience.
  • Fire Engine Driver: Matriculation + 3 years heavy vehicle driving experience with valid license. (Fireman course certified preferred).
  • Fireman: Matriculation. Conversant with firefighting appliances/extinguishers and Fire Service Drills.
  • Leading Fireman: Matriculation. Conversant with firefighting equipment. Capable of taking independent charge of a shift.

Physical Standards & Endurance Test

Tradesman Mate (Labour)

  • 1.5 Kms run in 6 minutes.
  • Carrying a weight of 50 Kgs to a distance of 200 meters in 100 seconds. (Relaxation for ESM applies).

Fire Engine Driver / Fireman / Leading Fireman

  • Height without shoes: 165 cms (2.5 cms concession for ST).
  • Chest: 81.5 cms (Un-expanded) to 85 cms (Expanded).
  • Weight: 50 kgs (minimum).
  • Skill Test: Carrying a man (fireman lift of 65.5 kgs) for 183 meters in 96 seconds; Clearing 2.7 meters wide ditch (Long jump); Climbing 3 meters vertical rope.

Age Limit

The crucial date for determining age is the last date of receipt of applications:

  • Civilian Motor Driver (CMD): 18 to 27 Years.
  • All Other Posts: 18 to 25 Years.
  • Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (Non-creamy layer). Ex-Servicemen and Govt Servants as per rules.
