RRB Paramedical Recruitment 2026: The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRB) under the Ministry of Railways, Government of India, have released the Detailed Centralised Employment Notification (CEN No. 05/2026) for the recruitment of various Paramedical Categories. Online applications are invited from eligible Indian Nationals for 590 vacancies, including Nursing Superintendent, Pharmacist (Entry Grade), Health & Malaria Inspector, Lab Assistant, and more across various RRBs and Railway Zones.

Mandatory Updates for CEN 05/2026: Candidates are strongly advised to authenticate their identity using DigiLocker or Aadhaar during the “Create an Account” process on the new unified portal (rrbapply.gov.in). Eligibility Criteria

1. Age Limit (Reckoned as on 01.01.2027)

The lower and upper age limits vary depending upon the post applied for. Refer to the table below for base age brackets:

  • Nursing Superintendent: 20 to 40 Years.
  • Pharmacist (Entry Grade): 20 to 35 Years.
  • Dialysis Tech, Radiographer, Lab Asst: Broadly 18 to 33 / 19 to 33 / 20 to 33 Years (check specific post parameters).
  • Audiologist & Speech Therapist: 21 to 30 Years.

2. Educational & Professional Qualifications

  • Nursing Superintendent: Certificate as Registered Nurse and Midwife (3 years course in GNM) OR B.Sc Nursing.
  • Pharmacist: Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy (Allopathic) and registered as Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act, 1948 OR Doctor of Pharmacy.
  • Health & Malaria Inspector Gr II: B.Sc. having studied Chemistry + One year Diploma in Health/Sanitary Inspector or equivalent NTC.
  • Radiographer X-Ray Technician: 10+2 with Physics and Chemistry and Diploma in Radiography / X Ray Technician / Radiodiagnosis Technology (2 years course).
  • Lab Assistant Grade II: 12th (10+2 stage) in Science + Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) or Certificate Course in MLT.
Candidates awaiting the results of their final examination for the prescribed educational/technical/professional qualification SHOULD NOT apply. Qualifications must be complete as on 14.10.2026.

Refund Process: The refund of the examination fee will be credited strictly to the bank account seeded with the candidate’s Aadhaar number. During the application, validation of Aadhaar is mandatory for facilitating this refund process via NPCI mapping.

Note on Modification: To make changes after final submission, candidates must pay a modification fee of ₹ 250/- per modification between 17.10.2026 to 26.10.2026.

  • Computer Based Test (CBT): Will be of 90 minutes duration (120 minutes for eligible PwBD candidates using Scribe) for 100 questions.
  • Section-wise Questions: Professional Ability (70), General Awareness (10), General Arithmetic, Intelligence & Reasoning (10), General Science (10).
  • Negative Marking: There will be a negative marking of 1/3rd mark for every wrong answer in the CBT.
  • Minimum Qualifying Marks: UR/EWS: 40%, OBC(NCL)/SC: 30%, ST: 25%.
  • Medical Fitness: Candidates must satisfy stringent medical standards like C1, B1, C2 based on the post. Visual Acuity Standard is critical.

  2. Click on “Create an Account”. If you have already created an account for previous CENs (like NTPC or ALP), use the same credentials to log in.

  5. Live Photograph: The application module will prompt you to capture a live photograph. Do not upload old scanned photos. Ensure you are in well-lit area, wearing non-white clothing, with no cap, mask, or glasses.
  6. Upload your Scanned Signature in running handwriting (JPEG format, 30 KB to 49 KB) inside the 35mm x 20mm designated box.
  7. Pay the required application fee online through Internet Banking, Debit/Credit Cards, or UPI.
