- Junior Engineer (Electrical): Minimum three years Diploma in Electrical or Electrical and Electronic Engineering from a recognized Institute or University or Board with a minimum of 65% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD) OR a Degree in Electrical or Electrical and Electronic Engineering with 55% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD).
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience for Diploma holders or 1 year of experience for Degree holders in execution and supervision of related projects is highly desirable/required as per specific zone norms.
RBI Junior Engineer Salary 2026

Selection Process & Exam Pattern
Selection for the post of RBI Junior Engineer will be through a country-wide competitive examination followed by a Language Proficiency Test (LPT).
- Online Examination: Comprising 180 objective type questions for 300 marks.
- Language Proficiency Test (LPT): The candidates provisionally shortlisted from the online examination will have to undergo a language proficiency test (LPT). The LPT will be conducted in the Official / Local Language of the State concerned. LPT is qualifying in nature.
- Document Verification & Medical Fitness: Final appointment is subject to document verification and medical fitness.
