Indian Coast Guard (ICG) Recruitment 2026: The Indian Coast Guard has released the notification for the recruitment of Enrolled Personnel through the Coast Guard Enrolled Persons Test (CGEPT) Batches 01/2027 & 02/2027. Age Relaxation: Upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC categories is applicable.

Post-wise Educational Qualifications

  • Navik (General Duty): Class 12th passed with Maths and Physics from a COBSE recognized education board.
  • Navik (Domestic Branch): Class 10th passed from a COBSE recognized board.
  • Hygienist-I: Matriculation OR Industrial Training Institute (ITI) OR equivalent.
  • Yantrik: Class 10th passed AND Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical / Electronics/ Telecommunication (3 or 4 years) OR Class 10th & 12th passed AND Diploma (2 or 3 years).

Note: Zone-wise recruitment will be carried out for Navik (GD) male candidates across North, West, East, South, and Central zones. Recruitment for Navik (GD) female, Yantriks, Navik(DB), and Hygienist-I will be on an All India basis.

Physical Fitness Test (PFT) & Medical Standards

The PFT consists of tests carried out in continuity without any break:

Minimum Height Standards

  • Male Candidates: 157 cms.
  • Female Candidates: 152 cms.
  • (Relaxation of up to 5 cms is applicable for candidates from specific hill regions, NE states, and Gorkhas).

Selection Process & Identity Requirements

The selection involves four stages:

  1. Stage-I: Computer Based Online Examination (Bilingual, MCQs, 100 Marks, No Negative Marking).
  2. Stage-II: Physical Fitness Test (PFT), Assessment & Adaptability Test, Document Verification, and Recruitment Medical Examination.
  3. Stage-III (At INS Chilka): Final Document Verification, Basic Identity Check, and Pre-Enrolment Medicals.
  4. Stage-IV: Authentication of original educational documents with concerned Boards/Universities.
Mandatory Identity Documents: Candidates must possess a valid original Identity proof such as a Voter ID, Driving License, Passport, PAN Card, or Aadhaar Card. If you upload the Aadhaar Card during registration, you must carry the same original card during all examination stages for basic identity verification and biometric recording. Proper original documents uploaded online must be presented physically.
