Eligibility Criteria (as on 25.03.2026)

Candidates must fulfill the educational, experience, and age criteria specific to the department they are applying for. The cut-off date is the closing date of the application.

1. Age Limit & Relaxations

• Legal Assistant: Not exceeding 30 years (Exception: DTC max age is 18-35 years).
• Assistant Engineer (Civil): Not exceeding 30 years (Exception: DAMB is 32 years).
• Junior Engineer (Civil): Not exceeding 30 years (Exception: NDMC is 18-32 years).
• Grade-II / ASO: 21 to 30 years for Services Dept. Not exceeding 30 years for DPCC & DUSIB.

Note: Only OBC (Delhi) candidates will be given the benefit of reservation. OBC (Outside) candidates will be treated as Unreserved.

2. Essential Educational Qualifications

• Legal Assistant (801/26): Degree in Law from a recognized university. 1 to 3 years of experience as a Legal Practitioner/Advocate depending on the specific department rules.
• Assistant Engineer Civil (802/26): Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized Institution/University.
• Junior Engineer Civil (803/26): Degree in Civil Engineering OR Three years Diploma in Civil Engineering with 2 years of relevant experience.
• Grade-II (GNCTDSS) / ASO (804/26): Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from any recognized University. Basic computer knowledge is desirable.

Application Fee

The application fee must be paid online via SBI e-pay. Other modes of payment will not be accepted.

Selection Process & Exam Scheme

DSSSB will conduct separate examinations for each post code. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer (for 1 mark questions) and 0.50 marks (for 2 marks questions).

• One Tier (Technical): Conducted for AE (802/26) and JE (803/26). Consists of Section A (100 Marks MCQ) and Section B (200 Marks domain specific).
• Two Tier (Technical): Conducted for Legal Assistant (801/26). Tier-I (200 Marks) is qualifying, Tier-II (300 Marks) determines merit.
• Two Tier (General): Conducted for Grade-II / ASO (804/26). Tier-II consists of Objective MCQ (200 Marks) and Descriptive English (100 Marks).

The syllabus for DSSSB Combined Exams is divided into General (Section A) and Subject-Specific (Section B) parts.

Part 1: General Syllabus (Common for Section A / Tier-I)

• General Awareness: History, Polity, Constitution, Sports, Art & Culture, Geography, Economics, Everyday Science, National/International Organizations, and Current Affairs.
• General Intelligence & Reasoning: Analogies, Similarities, Differences, Space Visualization, Problem Solving, Analysis, Judgment, Decision Making, Visual Memory, Discrimination, Relationship Concepts, Arithmetical Reasoning, Verbal and Figure Classification, Arithmetical Number Series.
• Arithmetical & Numerical Ability: Number Systems including simplification, decimals, fractions, L.C.M., H.C.F., Ratio & Proportion, Percentage, Average, Profit & Loss, Discount, Simple & Compound Interest, Mensuration, Time & Work, Time & Distance, Data Interpretation (Tables/Graphs).
• English Language & Comprehension: Vocabulary, Grammar, Sentence Structure, Synonyms, Antonyms and its correct usage, reading comprehension.
• Hindi Language & Comprehension: शब्दावली, व्याकरण, वाक्य संरचना, पर्यायवाची, विलोम और उनका सही उपयोग, गद्यांश।

How to Apply Online for DSSSB Recruitment 2026

Candidates who have not registered before must first do a “New Registration” on the OARS portal.

1. Visit the official DSSSB OARS portal at dsssbonline.nic.in.
2. Log in using your Registration ID (Class X Roll No, passing year, DOB) and Password.
3. Select the current advertisement and click on “Apply Online” for your desired Post Code.
4. Fill in the detailed application form and verify your details carefully.
5. Upload a recent and clear color photograph (white/off-white background), signature, and valid ID proofs as per the prescribed pixel/KB dimensions.
6. Pay the application fee of Rs. 100/- (if not exempted) via SBI e-pay.
7. Submit the application before 11:59 PM on 25.03.2026 and save a printed copy for future reference.
