CSIR NCL MTS Recruitment 2026: CSIR – National Chemical Laboratory (NCL), Pune, a premier research institute under the Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, has released the official notification for the recruitment of Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS). Eligibility Criteria & Age Limit
Educational Qualification
- Essential Qualification: Candidates must have passed SSC / 10th / Matriculation or its equivalent examination from a recognized Board/Institution.
- Desirable Qualification: Intermediate / XIIth Class Pass.
Age Limit (As on 04.11.2026)
The upper age limit for the Unreserved (UR) category is 25 years. Relaxations in the upper age limit apply to reserved categories as per Govt. of India rules:
- SC / ST Candidates: 05 Years age relaxation
- OBC (NCL) Candidates: 03 Years age relaxation
- PwBD (UR): 10 Years age relaxation
- PwBD (OBC): 13 Years age relaxation
- PwBD (SC/ST): 15 Years age relaxation
- Ex-Servicemen (ESM): 03 Years after deduction of actual military service rendered.
- Widows / Divorced / Judicially separated Women: Upto 35 years (40 years for SC/ST).

Scheme of Examination & Syllabus
The final merit list will be prepared exclusively based on the performance in the competitive written examination. The exam standard will be of Class 10th level.
- Mode of Examination: OMR Based or Computer Based Objective type (Multiple Choice).
- Medium of Questions: Bilingual (English & Hindi) except for the English Language section.
- Total Time Allotted: 2 Hours.
- Total Questions: 150 Questions.
