Scheme of Examination & Selection Process
The selection will be based on a single-level Written Examination (Objective Type – Degree Standard) followed by a Computer Proficiency Test (CPT). In case the examination is conducted in multiple sessions, a normalization process will be adopted.
- Mode of Exam: Online (CBRT).
- Negative Marking: There is a penalty of 1/3rd of the marks prescribed for each wrong answer.

- Geography of India with focus on Andhra Pradesh.
- Indian Polity and Governance (Constitutional issues, public policy, e-Governance).
- Indian Economy and planning.
- Sustainable Development and Environmental Protection.
- Disaster Management (Remote Sensing and GIS application).
- Logical reasoning, analytical ability, and logical interpretation.
- Data Analysis (Tabulation, Visual representation, Basic data analysis, Interpretation).
Paper-II: Education (Mains)
(A) Foundation of Education: Philosophical/Sociological foundations, Idealism, Naturalism, Pragmatism, prominent thinkers (Gandhi, Tagore, Vivekananda, etc.), Socialization, and Equality of Educational opportunities.
(B) Educational Psychology: Growth and Development stages, Theories of Learning (Behavioral, Cognitive, Social), Motivation, Individual differences, Personality assessment, Special needs learners, Guidance and Counseling, and Educational Statistics (Central tendency, Variability, Correlation).
(C) Trends in Education: Universalization of Education, Wastage & Stagnation, Adult Education, Non-Formal Education, School-Community relations, Medium of instruction (Three language formula), Population Education, Moral Education, National integration, Lifelong Education, Teacher Education, Vocational Education, and recommendations of Education Commissions.
Computer Proficiency Test (CPT)
The CPT is a practical examination designed to test proficiency in Office Automation with the usage of Computers and Associated Software. It is a qualifying test.

CPT Assessment Pattern
- Part-A (20% Marks): Objective MCQs assessing basic computer concepts, OS (Windows/Linux/Mac), Internet concepts, Email, and WWW.
- Part-B (80% Marks): Practical computer-based assessment tests including:
- Document preparation and formatting (Insert tables, images, mail merge) – 25%
- Evaluating typing speed – 15% (May be mandatory based on existing norms)
- Organizing and inserting different objects – 15%
- Excel Sheet preparation (Formulae, merging, conditional formatting, graphs) – 20%
- Power Point presentation (Standard layouts, transitions, animations) – 20%
