Eligibility Criteria & Age Limit

Age Relaxations
- EWS, BC (Non-Creamy Layer), SC, and ST Candidates: Relaxation up to a maximum of 5 years.
- AP State Government Employees: Relaxation equivalent to the length of regular service, limited to a maximum of 5 years. (Employees of Corporations, Municipalities, APTRANSCO, APGENCO etc. are not eligible).
- Ex-Servicemen: 3 years in addition to the length of service rendered in the Army, Navy or Air Force.
- NCC Instructors: 3 years in addition to the length of service (minimum 6 months required).
- Widows / Divorced Women / Women Judicially Separated (Not Remarried): Special upper age limits apply (up to 42 years for SC/ST, and 37 years for others, subject to producing relevant documentary evidence).
Educational Qualification (as on 01 July 2026)
The candidate must hold an SSC and must possess one of the following qualifications:
- Industrial Training Institutional (ITI) Certificate in:

- Information Technology and Electronic System Maintenance (IT & ESM)
- Computer Operator and Programming Assistant (COPA)

- Electrician
- OR Two years Intermediate course with MPC

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Candidates who qualify in the Physical Measurement Test will be required to undergo the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). The 1600 Meters Run is qualifying in nature.

Selection Process & Exam Pattern
Final Written Examination
- No Preliminary Exam: There will be no preliminary Written Test for this technical post.
- Candidates who qualify in the PMT and PET will appear for a Final Written Examination.
- It consists of one objective-type paper (Technical) containing 200 questions.
- Maximum marks: 200.
- Duration: 3 Hours.
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: 40% for OC/EWS, 35% for BC, and 30% for SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen.
- Languages: Questions in the paper will be set in English, Telugu, and Urdu languages.
The final selection of the candidates will be made strictly on relative merit, as obtained by them based on their score in the written examination (200 marks).
Syllabus for Written Examination (Annexure-I)
The syllabus includes technical subjects based on the qualifying educational standards.
- Electrical: Characteristic and Application of conductors, Insulators, Semiconductors; Resistors, Kirchhoff’s law, Ohm’s Law, AC/DC, Transformers, Measurements.
- Electronics & Radio: Capacitors, Inductance, Transistors (PNP, NPN, FET), Diodes, Rectifiers, Filters, Modulation (AM and FM), Amplifiers, Oscillators, Television principles.
- Basics of Computers: Fundamentals of Computer Architecture, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Windows OS, MS-DOS, PC assembly, Networking, LAN, WAN.
- Telephone System: PSTN network, Telephone instruments, EPABX, FAX, Internet telephony, GSM and CDMA phone system.
