RRB NTPC Recruitment 2026: The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRB) under the Ministry of Railways, Government of India, have released the official notification (CEN No. 06/2026) for the recruitment of various Non-Technical Popular Categories (Graduate) posts. Online applications are invited from eligible Indian Nationals for 3548 vacancies, including Goods Train Manager, Chief Commercial Cum Ticket Supervisor, Senior Clerk Cum Typist, and Junior Accounts Assistant Cum Typist.

A total of 3548 tentative vacancies have been notified across all RRBs and Railway Zones. Candidates can apply to only one RRB and indicate their preference for Railway Zones/PU and posts.

Important: The Computer Based Typing Skill Test (CBTST) for the posts of Senior Clerk Cum Typist and Junior Accounts Assistant Cum Typist has been dispensed with for CEN No. 06/2026. However, candidates must possess basic computer proficiency which will be assessed after joining.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Age Limit (As on 01.01.2027)

The age limit for all the Graduate level posts under this CEN is 18 to 33 years. Candidates must be born between 02.01.1994 (for UR/EWS) and 01.01.2009.

2. Educational Qualifications

  • All Posts: Candidate must hold a Degree from recognized University or its equivalent as on the closing date for submission of the online application.
  • Those awaiting results of the final examination for the prescribed educational qualification SHOULD NOT apply.

Refund Policy: The refund of the examination fee will be credited to the bank account seeded with the candidate’s Aadhaar number. During the application process, if no bank account is seeded with Aadhaar, candidates will be redirected to the NPCI portal to link it.

Correction Window: Modifications to the submitted application can be made between 09.11.2026 to 18.11.2026 by paying a non-refundable modification fee of ₹250/- for each occasion.

  • 1st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT): Common for all notified posts. 100 questions (Maths: 30, General Intelligence & Reasoning: 30, General Awareness: 40). Time duration: 90 minutes.
  • 2nd Stage Computer Based Test (CBT): Candidates shortlisted will be 15 times the community-wise vacancies. 120 questions (Maths: 35, General Intelligence & Reasoning: 35, General Awareness: 50). Time duration: 90 minutes.
  • Negative Marking: There will be a negative marking of 1/3rd mark for every wrong answer in both CBTs.
  • Medical Examination: Selected candidates will undergo medical fitness tests. For example, Goods Train Manager requires A2 Medical Standard (strict vision requirements, no LASIK permitted).

  1. Candidates must first Create an Account on the official RRB Apply portal: www.rrbapply.gov.in. (If you already have an account from previous 2024-2026 CENs, use the same credentials.)
  2. Authenticate your identity using Digi Locker or Aadhaar during account creation to avoid stricter scrutiny later.
  3. Choose only ONE RRB and indicate your preference for Railway Zones and Posts.
  4. Live Photograph: Ensure your webcam/mobile camera is ready. The module will capture a live photograph. Do not wear a cap or glasses. The background must be plain white.
  5. Upload your scanned signature in running handwriting (JPEG/JPG format, 30 KB to 49 KB).
  6. Pay the required application fee through Internet Banking, Debit/Credit Cards, or UPI.
  7. Submit the application and keep a printed copy for future reference.
