Canara Bank Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Canara Bank, a leading Public Sector Bank with its Head Office in Bengaluru, has released the official notification for the engagement of Graduate Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for FY 2026-27. Online applications are invited from eligible Indian Citizens to fill 3500 training seats across various states and union territories.

Vacancy Details & Monthly Stipend
A total of 3500 training seats are available across various Indian states and UTs. Candidates can opt for training seats in only ONE state. Please refer to the official notification for the complete state-wise category breakdown.
Eligibility Criteria
1. Age Limit (As of 01.09.2026)
The candidate’s age must be minimum 20 years and maximum 28 years as on the date of reckoning (01.09.2026). Candidates must have been born not earlier than 02.09.1998 and not later than 01.09.2006.

Note: No Ex-servicemen / Disabled Ex-Servicemen shall be engaged as an apprentice, and there is no reservation provided for this category.
2. Educational Qualifications (As of 01.09.2026)
- Graduation: A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a university recognized by the Govt. of India or any equivalent qualification.
- Candidates must have passed their Graduation not earlier than 01.01.2023 and not later than 01.09.2026 (both days inclusive).
- Candidates who have already undergone Apprenticeship Training, are currently pursuing it, or possess job experience of one or more years after their educational qualification are not eligible.

Fees must be paid online via Debit Cards, Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards, or Mobile Wallets.
Selection Process
- Merit Based: The merit list will be prepared State-wise in descending order purely on the basis of marks/percentage obtained in the 12th Std (HSC/10+2) / Diploma Examination.
- Qualifying Marks: The minimum qualifying marks in 12th/Diploma will not be less than 60% (55% for SC / ST / PwBD candidates).
- Local Language Test: Candidates must be proficient in the local language of the opted state. Those who produce a 10th or 12th standard mark sheet evidencing having studied the specified local language are exempt from the test. For others, the language test will be conducted during the Document Verification process. Failing this test results in disqualification.
How to Apply Online
- First, candidates must register on the NATS Apprenticeship Portal: nats.education.gov.in. Ensure your profile is 100% complete to generate your enrollment ID.
- Visit the official Canara Bank website: canarabank.com from 01 Oct to 17 Oct 2026.
- Go to Careers → Recruitment → Engagement of Graduate Apprentices in Canara Bank under Apprentices Act, 1961 for FY 2026-27.
- Click on “Click Here for New Registration”. You will need your NATS enrollment ID.
- Upload your Scanned Photograph (4.5cm x 3.5cm), Signature (not in capital letters), Left Thumb Impression, and Hand Written Declaration as per the specifications in the notification.
- Pay the required application fee (if applicable) through the integrated payment gateway.
- Take a printout of the e-receipt and the final submitted online application form for future reference.
