Age Relaxations: SC/ST candidates get a 5-year relaxation, and OBC candidates get a 3-year relaxation. Ex-Servicemen and Departmental candidates also have specific relaxations as per Central Govt rules.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
RFID Based PET will be conducted at Jorhat (Assam) or Diphu (Assam) centres. The parameters are:
- All India (except Ladakh Region): 5 km run to qualify within 24 minutes.
- Ladakh Region only: 1.6 km run to qualify within 7 minutes.

- Computer Based Test (CBT): 100 Marks. Minimum pass marks: 35% for UR/EWS and 33% for SC/ST/OBC.
- Trade Skill Test: Candidates short-listed (ratio 1:4) based on CBT merit will take a practical Trade Skill Test (qualifying nature, no marks awarded).
- Detailed Medical Examination (DME): Final step alongside Document Verification.
