RRB Group D Exam Pattern 2025
The RRB Group D selection process involves the following stages:
1. Computer Based Test (CBT):
- Mode: Online
- Total Questions: 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
- Total Marks: 100
- Duration: 90 minutes (120 minutes for eligible PwBD candidates accompanied by a scribe)
- Negative Marking: 1/3 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
- Subject-wise distribution of questions and marks:
- General Science: 25 questions, 25 marks
- Mathematics: 25 questions, 25 marks
- General Intelligence & Reasoning: 30 questions, 30 marks
- General Awareness and Current Affairs: 20 questions, 20 marks
2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET):
Candidates who qualify in the CBT will be called for PET. This test is qualifying in nature, and the standards for male and female candidates are as follows:

| Male | Lifting and carrying weight | 35 kg for 100 meters in 2 minutes (without putting down) |
| Running | 1000 meters in 4 minutes and 15 seconds (one chance) | |
| Female | Lifting and carrying weight | 20 kg for 100 meters in 2 minutes (without putting down) |
| Running | 1000 meters in 5 minutes and 40 seconds (one chance) | |
| PwD | Exempted from PET | Must pass a medical examination |
3. Document Verification:
Candidates who qualify in the PET will be called for Document Verification. They will need to produce original documents along with self-attested photocopies in support of their claims regarding age, educational qualification, community, disability (if applicable), etc.
4. Medical Examination:
Candidates who clear the Document Verification will have to undergo a medical examination to assess their fitness for the posts. The medical standards vary for different categories of posts.
RRB Group D Selection Process 2025
The selection process for RRB Group D involves the following stages:
- First Stage CBT: Candidates have to appear for the Computer Based Test.
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Candidates qualifying in the CBT are called for PET, which is qualifying in nature.
- Document Verification: Candidates qualifying in PET are called for Document Verification.
- Medical Examination: Finally, candidates who clear Document Verification have to undergo a medical examination.
The final selection of candidates will be based on the performance in the CBT, provided they qualify in the PET, Document Verification, and Medical Examination.
