RRB Group D Recruitment 2026

1. Detailed Overview of RRB Group D 2026

RRB Group D Recruitment 2026: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) is one of the largest government recruitment bodies in India. For the year 2026, the RRB is gearing up to release a massive notification for the Group D (Level-1) recruitment drive. This recruitment aims to fill over 22,000+ vacancies across various Indian Railway zones. The positions included in this cadre are vital for the smooth operation of the railway network, including roles such as Track Maintainer Grade-IV, Helper/Assistant in Electrical, Mechanical, and S&T departments, and Assistant Pointsman.

This is an exceptional opportunity for candidates who have completed their 10th Standard (Matriculation). Working with Indian Railways offers job security, a respectable government salary with allowances, and numerous other benefits like medical care and travel passes. The selection process is strictly merit-based, ensuring transparency through a Computer Based Test (CBT), followed by a Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Document Verification (DV), and a Medical Examination.

Candidates are advised to closely monitor the official regional RRB websites for the detailed Centralized Employment Notice (CEN). Early preparation is key, as the competition for these posts is historically high due to the attractive entry-level requirements.
