NPCIL Recruitment 2025 Educational Qualification:
- You’ll need a BE/B Tech/B Sc (Engineering)/5-year Integrated M Tech degree in one of the six core engineering branches listed (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Civil). Your aggregate marks should be at least 60% as per your university’s regulations, and the degree must be from an AICTE/UGC recognized institution.
- GATE Score: A valid Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) score from either 2023, 2024, or 2025 is essential. Importantly, your GATE score must be in the same engineering discipline as your qualifying degree.
- Engineering degrees allowed for each discipline are as follows:

NPCIL Recruitment 2025 selection process:
- Shortlisting for Personal Interview: Candidates will be shortlisted for the interview based on their valid GATE 2023, GATE 2024, and GATE 2025 scores. The ratio of candidates shortlisted per vacancy will be 1:12. If multiple candidates have the same cut-off score, all of them will be shortlisted.
- Valid GATE Scores: Only candidates with valid GATE 2023, GATE 2024, or GATE 2025 scores in the relevant engineering discipline are eligible to apply under this advertisement. GATE scores from 2022 or earlier will not be considered.
- Equal Weightage to GATE Scores: The scores from GATE 2023, GATE 2024, and GATE 2025 will be given equal importance during the shortlisting process.
- Separate Shortlisting for PwBD Candidates: Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBDs) will be shortlisted separately for each reserved disability category, maintaining the same 1:12 ratio.
- Display of Cut-off and Shortlisting Result: The discipline and category-wise cut-off marks for shortlisting will be displayed on NPCIL’s recruitment web portal. Candidates can check their shortlisting status through their individual login under the ‘Application Status’ link on www.npcilcareers.co.in.
- Interview Communication: Shortlisted candidates will receive information about the interview date, time, and venue via Email and SMS. The call letter for the interview will also be available for download on the NPCIL website.
