CCRS Recruitment 2026 Overview

Candidates must carefully check their eligibility criteria before downloading and filling the offline application format provided by CCRS.

Important Dates for CCRS 2026

The application must reach the CCRS office within the stipulated time. Applications received after the closing date will be summarily rejected.

*Remote areas include Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, J&K, Ladakh, Lahaul & Spiti, Pangi Sub-Division, A&N Islands, and Lakshadweep.

The number of vacancies indicated is provisional and may vary (increase or decrease) based on administrative requirements.

Eligibility Criteria & Age Limit

The upper age limit, qualification, and/or experience will be reckoned as on the closing date (09.09.2026 or 01.01.2026 as per post requirements).

1. Social Worker

• Age Limit: 30 years and below as on 1st January 2026.
• Essential Qualification: Degree from a recognized University AND Diploma in Social work of a minimum of one year duration AND One year experience in Social work in a recognized Institution/Hospital. (OR) Post-graduate degree in Sociology from a recognized University.

2. Upper Division Clerk (UDC)

• Age Limit: Between 18 and 27 years of age.
• Essential Qualification: Degree of a recognized University or equivalent. AND At least three years’ experience in correspondence work in Govt./ Semi Govt./ Public Sector Undertakings/ Autonomous Bodies/ Institutions. AND Thorough knowledge of office routine/ rules and regulations.

3. Lower Division Clerk (LDC)

• Age Limit: Between 18 and 27 years of age.
• Essential Qualification: 12th Class or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board or University. AND A typing speed of 35 w.p.m. in English or 30 w.p.m. in Hindi or Tamil on Computer.

Application Fees

The application fee must be paid via Bank Demand Draft (DD) only. Any other mode of payment viz., cash, money order, cheque, or Postal order will not be accepted.

• General / OBC / EWS: Rs. 300/- (Rupees Three Hundred only)
• SC / ST / PwBD candidates: Exempted from payment of fees.

Fees should be paid in the form of a Demand Draft drawn in favor of “Central Council for Research in Siddha” and payable at Chennai. On the overleaf of the DD, candidates must mention their name, Advertisement No., and post applied for.

Selection Process

The selection will be based on merit and performance in the written test and/or skill test.

1. Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted based on their requisite educational qualifications and experience.
2. Written Test: Shortlisted candidates are required to attend a Written Test at their own cost. The final selection list will be prepared in order of merit based on the marks obtained in the Written Test.
3. Skill Test (For LDC Only): A typing test is mandatory for the post of LDC. It will be of a qualifying nature. A typing speed of 35 w.p.m. in English or 30 w.p.m. in Tamil or Hindi on a Computer is required.

Note: The Written Test and Personal Interview (if applicable) for all advertised posts will be conducted at Central Council for Research in Siddha, HQ., Ministry of Ayush, GST Road, Tambaram Sanatorium, Chennai – 600 047 only.

How to Apply Offline for CCRS 2026?

Candidates must apply offline using the prescribed application format provided by the Council. Follow these steps carefully:

1. Download the official CCRS Recruitment 2026 Notification PDF from the link below or visit ccrs.ayush.gov.in.
2. Print out the specific Annexure application form applicable to your desired post (Annexure-I for Social Worker, Annexure-II for UDC, Annexure-III for LDC).
3. Fill in the application form completely in your own handwriting (sign in running hand). Unsigned applications will be rejected.
4. Paste a recent passport-size colour photograph in the specified space (Do not staple or get it attested).
5. Enclosures Required (Self-Attested Copies):
   • Demand Draft (in original) for Rs. 300/- (if applicable).
   • Copy of 10th/SSLC/Matriculation certificate for Age proof.
   • Copies of Essential Educational Qualifications.
   • Documents in support of Experience (if any).
   • Copies of PwD certificate (if applicable).
   • NOC from present employer (if currently serving in Govt/PSU).
6. The application form duly signed and enclosed with documents should be sent in an envelope superscribed as “Application for the post of [Post Name]”.
7. Send the application by Speed Post only to the following address before the deadline (09.09.2026):
