Major Posts & Vacancy Groups 2026

The CRE-5 platform categorizes numerous posts into various functional groups. Applicants applying under different groups must fill separate applications for each group. Below are some of the prominent job groups:

• Group 2 & 3: Junior Administrative Assistant (LDC), Upper Division Clerk (UDC), Data Entry Operator, Assistant Administrative Officer.
• Group 4, 5 & 6: Junior Engineer (Civil, Electrical, AC&R).
• Group 12 & 13: Pharmacist/Pharmacist Grade II, Cashier/Junior Accounts Officer.
• Group 14: Junior Store Officer / Store Keeper / Store Keeper-cum-Clerk.
• Group 16 & 17: Hospital Attendant Grade III (Nursing Orderly), Dissection Hall Attendant, Junior Medical Laboratory Technologist.
• Group 19 & 20: Coding Clerks, Medical Record Technician, Stenographer, Personal Assistant.
• Group 34: Senior Nursing Officer (Staff Nurse Grade-I), Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM).

Eligibility Criteria & Age Limit

1. Age Limit (As on 03.07.2026)

The age limit varies significantly depending on the specific post and the participating Institute (e.g., 18-27 years, 18-30 years, 21-30 years, up to 35 years). Candidates are strongly advised to check Annexure-I of the detailed notification for post-specific age limits.

Age Relaxations:

• SC/ST: 5 Years
• OBC: 3 Years
• PwBD: 10 Years
• Ex-Servicemen: Length of military service plus 03 years (for Group B & C posts).
• Additional relaxations are applicable for Central Govt. Civilian Employees, Widows, Divorced Women, etc., as per GoI rules.

2. Educational Qualifications

Because CRE-5 encompasses a vast range of posts, the educational requirements vary from Matriculation (10th) and 12th Class pass to Diplomas, Bachelor’s Degrees, and Master’s Degrees in relevant fields. Examples include:

• LDC / Junior Administrative Assistant: 12th Class pass or equivalent with prescribed typing speed (35 w.p.m in English or 30 w.p.m in Hindi).
• Junior Engineer: Degree or Diploma in the respective engineering branch (Civil/Electrical/Mechanical) with relevant experience.
• Pharmacist: Diploma in Pharmacy and registration under the Pharmacy Act 1948.
• Senior Nursing Officer: B.Sc. Nursing with 3 years of experience as Staff Nurse Grade-II.

Application Fees

Candidates applying in more than one group must apply separately for each group by paying the examination fee separately.

*Note: Application Fees of SC/ST candidates who appear in the Examination will be refunded to their source account after the declaration of results.

Selection Process & Exam Pattern

The AIIMS CRE-5 selection process consists of a Computer Based Test (CBT) and, where applicable, a Skill Test.

1. Computer Based Test (CBT)

• Duration: 90 minutes.
• Total Questions/Marks: 100 MCQs carrying 400 marks (4 marks for each correct answer).
• Negative Marking: There will be a negative marking of 1/4th (1 mark) for each wrong answer.
• Structure: 20 MCQs related to General Knowledge & Aptitude, Computer Knowledge, and 80 MCQs related to the domain of the respective group.
• Medium: Bilingual (English/Hindi) for 10th/12th qualification posts; English only for higher qualification or technical domain posts.
• Sectional Timing: The question paper is divided into 5 sections of 18 minutes each. Candidates can only attempt questions in the currently active section.

2. Skill Test (Stage-II)

For posts where a Skill Test is required (e.g., LDC, UDC, Stenographer, Programmer, Fire Technician), it will be conducted as Stage-II. It is qualifying in nature. Candidates qualifying both the CBT and the Skill Test shall be provisionally eligible for all posts in the group.

3. Document Verification & Allocation

Merit will be prepared based on CBT performance. Qualified candidates will be invited to exercise their choices and indicate the order of preference for participating Institutes for allocation.

How to Apply Online for AIIMS CRE-5 2026?

The application process is exclusively online through the AIIMS exams portal. Follow these steps:

1. Visit the official AIIMS Examination website: aiimsexams.ac.in.
2. Read the detailed “Notice No. 93/2026” carefully to ensure your eligibility for your desired post group.
3. Complete the One-Time Registration (OTR) if required, or directly proceed to fill the online application form for CRE-5.
4. If applying for multiple groups, remember to fill out separate applications and pay the fee for each group.
5. Enter all personal, educational, and experience details accurately.
6. Upload clearly visible scanned images of your passport-size photograph, signature, and left thumb impression as per the prescribed guidelines.
7. Pay the application fee (Rs. 3000/- or Rs. 2400/-) via Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking.
8. Submit the application before 03 July 2026 (5:00 PM). Keep a printed copy of the registration slip and payment proof for future records.
9. Note: Candidates working in Govt/PSU/Autonomous bodies must obtain and upload a No Objection Certificate (NOC) by 08.07.2026.
