Eligibility Criteria (As on 01.01.2026)
1. Educational Qualification
- STA-B: Bachelor’s Degree in Science (B.Sc) OR Diploma in Engineering/Technology/Computer Science/Allied Subjects from a recognized institute. Candidates with higher qualifications (M.Sc/B.Tech/BE/Ph.D) are NOT eligible.
- Technician-A: (i) 10th Class Pass AND (ii) ITI Certificate in the specific trade OR National Trade Certificate (NTC) OR National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC).
2. Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 28 Years
- Age Relaxation:
- OBC (NCL): 3 Years
- SC/ST: 5 Years
- PwBD: 10 Years
Selection Process
For STA-B (Two Tier)
- Tier-I (Screening): 120 Questions (General Awareness, English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, General Science). 120 Marks. 90 Mins.
- Tier-II (Selection): 100 Questions (Specific to subject/discipline). 100 Marks. 90 Mins.
For Technician-A (Two Tier)
- Tier-I (Selection): Section A (40 Qs – Aptitude) + Section B (80 Qs – Specific Trade). Total 120 Marks. 90 Mins.
- Tier-II (Trade Test): Practical skill test. Qualifying in nature (ITI level).
