Eligibility Criteria for AP High Court Recruitment

1. Age Limit (as on 01.01.2026)

  • Minimum Age: 18 Years.
  • Maximum Age: 42 Years.
  • Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST/BC and EWS categories. 10 years for Persons with Disabilities (PwBD). Ex-servicemen relaxation as per AP State and Subordinate Service Rules.

2. Educational Qualifications

  • Typist: Degree in Arts/Science/Commerce/Law AND Typewriting English Higher Grade (45 wpm).
  • Copyist & Data Entry Operator: Degree with Computer Science as a main subject AND Typewriting English Higher Grade (45 wpm).
  • Stenographer: Degree in Arts/Science/Commerce/Law AND Shorthand English (80 wpm) + Typewriting English Higher Grade (45 wpm).
  • Office Subordinate: Pass in 7th Class or equivalent. Note: Candidates who failed Intermediate or equivalent will be considered, but those who have a higher qualification than Intermediate shall NOT be considered.

Method of Recruitment & Syllabus

The recruitment process will consist of a Computer Based Examination (CBT). For certain posts, a Skill Test will also be conducted.

  • Computer Based Examination: The exam will consist of 80 questions carrying 80 marks with a duration of 90 minutes. The question paper will be in English and Telugu.
  • Minimum Qualifying Marks: 40% for OC/EWS; 35% for BC; 30% for SC/ST/PwBD.
  • Skill Test: For Sr. System Officer, Computer Operator, UD Steno, Stenographer, Typist, Copyist, and DEO, the CBT is only for screening. Final selection is based solely on performance in the Skill Test.
