Vacancy Details & Pay Scale 2026

A total of 23 vacancies have been announced for the Telangana Police Department. The distribution of vacancies for Post Code No. 33 Zone-wise of Contiguous Zonal Cadre is as follows:

Eligibility Criteria, Age Limit & Technical Qualifications

1. Age Limit (As on 01.07.2026)

The base age limit for the post is 21 to 25 years. However, the Government of Telangana has raised the upper age limit by 5 (five) years for uniformed services. This relaxation is in addition to the base age.

• General Category (Effective Age): 21 to 30 Years (i.e., base 25 + 5 years Govt relaxation).

Category-wise Additional Age Relaxation (on the effective upper age limit):

• SC, ST, BCs, and EWS category: 5 Years
• Telangana State Govt Employees: Up to 5 Years
• Ex-Servicemen / NCC Instructors: 3 Years + length of service

2. Educational Qualification (As on 29.07.2026)

Must possess a degree in specific technical streams awarded by any university in India.

• Degree of B.E. / B.Tech in Information Technology, Computer Science OR Computer Science specialization in Artificial Intelligence / Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning / Data Science / Networks / Cyber Security / Internet of Things.
• OR Degree of BSc in Computer Science OR Computer Application.

3. Physical Standards & Medical Fitness

Candidates must possess sound health and meet strict physical and visual standards. Color blindness, squint, or any morbid condition of the eye will lead to disqualification.

Application Fees & Concessions

The exact fee amount will be designated in the Online Application system. TSLPRB provides a rebate for candidates applying for multiple posts across different notifications simultaneously.

• Rebate for Multiple Applications: If a candidate applies for more than one post across the 4 notifications (SI Civil, ASI FPB, PC Civil, PC Driver/Mechanic), a rebate of Rs. 50/- per additional post for SC/ST Local candidates, and Rs. 100/- per additional post for all other candidates will be given. This is due to the savings from conducting a Common Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET).

Selection Process & Exam Pattern

The selection methodology for TSLPRB ASI (FPB) skips the Preliminary Written Test and involves direct physical tests followed by a Final Written Exam:

Stage 1: Physical Measurement Test (PMT) & Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Candidates directly undergo physical tests. The PMT/PET will be conducted only once for candidates applying for multiple posts across notifications.

• 1600m / 800m Run Event: Men must complete 1600m in a maximum time of 7 Minutes 15 Seconds (Ex-SM: 9 Min 30 Sec). Women must complete 800m in 5 Minutes 20 Seconds. (Qualifying nature).
• Long Jump: Men: 4 Meters (Ex-SM: 3.50m) | Women: 2.50 Meters. (Qualifying nature).
• Shot Put: Men (7.26 Kgs): 6 Meters | Women (4 Kgs): 4 Meters. (Qualifying nature).

Stage 2: Final Written Examination (FWE)

Candidates qualifying the PMT/PET will appear for the FWE consisting of 3 papers.

• Paper I: English (Qualifying, Matriculation Standard). Part A (Objective, 25 Marks), Part B (Descriptive, 75 Marks).
• Paper II: Arithmetic and Test of Reasoning / Mental Ability (Objective, 200 Questions) – 100 Marks.
• Paper III: Technical Paper (Objective, 200 Questions) – 200 Marks. Focuses on Computer Hardware, Software, Application Software, and Networking & Security Management.
• Minimum Qualifying Marks (Paper II & III): OCs/EWS: 40%, BCs: 35%, SCs/STs/Ex-SM: 30%.
• Final selection is based strictly on the aggregate score of Paper II & III of the FWE.
