Salary & Pay Scale

Depending on the post, candidates will either undergo a one-year training period or be directly absorbed into their respective grades.

Technician (Rigger/Welder) Grade III (₹21,500 – 3%) Appointed directly to the scale. Basic Pay + IDA (currently 53.4%) + HRA + Cafeteria (33%) + Medical + PRP + Gratuity + PF, etc. Probation of 6 months.
Jr. Assistant cum Secretary Grade II (₹22,500 – 3%)

Eligibility Criteria for MFL Recruitment 2026

All qualifications must be full-time. Cut-off date for age, qualification, and experience is 05.04.2026.

1. Age Limit (as on 05.04.2026)

  • Minimum Age: 18 Years.
  • Maximum Age: 26 Years (for UR candidates).
  • Relaxation: Upper age is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC-NCL, and 10 years for PwBD (General/EWS) candidates.

2. Educational Qualification & Experience

  • Technical Assistant Trainee (Post Codes 1 to 4): Full-time 3 years Diploma in Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering with 65% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD).
    CRITICAL: Only candidates who have passed the diploma strictly within the prescribed duration in the academic years 2024 or 2025 are eligible to apply.
  • Technician – Rigger (Post Code 5): SSLC with 3 years’ experience in Rigging.
  • Technician – Welder (Post Code 6): Full-time ITI (Welding) with SSLC.
  • Jr. Assistant cum Secretary (Post Code 7): Any full-time Degree with English Typewriting Lower Grade, English Shorthand Lower Grade and MS Office. OR Three years Diploma in Commercial Practice or Modern Office Practice with English Shorthand Lower Grade.

Selection Process & CBT Exam Pattern

All candidates will have to appear for a Computer Based Test (CBT) held in Chennai or other locations in Tamil Nadu.

  • Post Codes 5 to 7: Selection based on CBT and a Skill / Trade Test (Weighted average ratio of 75:25).
