3.UPSC IFS Recruitment 2026 Vacancy Details

The approximate number of vacancies to be filled on the results of the examination is expected to be approximately 150. This number is tentative and subject to change. Reservation will be made for candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and PwBD categories as per Government of India rules.

6. Selection Process

The Indian Forest Service Examination consists of two successive stages:

  1. Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination: This is an objective type exam consisting of two papers (GS I and CSAT). It serves as the screening test for selection to the Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination.
  2. Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination:
