BHEL Artisan Recruitment 2025 Education Qualification

To be eligible for the Artisan Grade-IV posts, candidates must meet the following educational criteria as on 1st July 2025:

BHEL Artisan Recruitment 2025 Salary

Selected candidates will initially work as Temporary Employees for one year and receive consolidated wages as per applicable minimum wages. Upon successful completion of this period, they will be regularized as ARTISAN GRADE-IV. The pay scale will be Rs 29500 – Rs 65,000 with applicable allowances.

Best Apprentice will be inducted with 2 increments, and Runner Up Apprentice will be inducted at the minimum of the scale.

Job Location

BHEL has manufacturing units across India where selected candidates will be posted. The units are:

  • Boiler Auxiliaries Plant (BAP) – Ranipet, Tamil Nadu
  • Heavy Plates and Vessels Plant (HPVP) – Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh
  • Heavy Equipment Repair Plant (HERP) – Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh
  • Electronics Division (EDN) – Bengaluru, Karnataka
  • Fabrication, Stamping & Insulator Plant (FSIP) – Jagdishpur, Uttar Pradesh
  • Heavy Electrical Equipment Plant (HEEP) – Haridwar, Uttrakhand
  • Central Foundry & Forge Plant (CFFP) – Haridwar, Uttrakhand
  • Heavy Power Equipment Plant (HPEP) – Hyderabad, Telangana
  • Heavy Electrical Plant (HEP) – Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh

Important Note: Candidates selected will be required to serve at their allocated Manufacturing Unit for at least 20 years from the date of joining. No request for transfer or change in posting will be entertained during this period.

BHEL Artisan Recruitment 2025 Selection Process

The selection process for BHEL Artisan Grade-IV involves two stages:

  1. Stage I: Computer Based Examination (CBE)
    • All candidates will appear for a CBE in their respective trades.
    • Candidates will be shortlisted for the Skill Test in a 1:5 ratio based on CBE marks.
    • PwD and Ex-Servicemen candidates will receive relaxation in cut-off marks.
    • The Computer Based Examination will be trilingual (Hindi, English, or a third language like Kannada, Telugu, Tamil), except for “Foundryman” (Hindi or English only) and “Electronics Mechanic” (Hindi or English or Kannada only).
  2. Stage II: Skill Test & Document Verification
    • Candidates shortlisted from the CBE must attend and complete this stage.
    • Document Verification will be conducted to confirm eligibility.
    • The Skill Test is qualifying in nature.
    • The final merit list will be prepared only on the basis of CBE Score, provided candidates are found eligible and qualified in the Skill Test.
    • The Skill Test also offers the option to address the Selection Committee in Hindi, English, or a vernacular language.

Preference for Best/Runner-up Apprentice: Best Apprentice/Runner-up Apprentice in All India SKILL Competitions will be exempted from the Computer Based Test and directly called for the Skill Test.
